The spacer is used to reduce the compression ratio of the engine in order to increase the performance of the turbocharger or compressor installations. The spacer is mounted between the 2 factory head gaskets. The sealed insert reduces the compression ratio to approx. 8.5: 1 depending on the motor and the previously aligned head and block surfaces.
